Customer Review: Exceeded expectations

I purchased this item for company use based upon the reviews I read here. This unit exceeded our expectations. Keep in mind that I am reviewing a new product (1 month old) so I cannot speak to durability. However, the unit seems well built by today's standards and everything worked well out of the box.
The upsides that we have so far observed are as follows:
The unit was very easy to set up. It needs almost no preparation to start showing DVDs. As for connecting our computers, I used the provided VGA cable and it immediately recognized my computer.
The picture is amazingly clear, even in a lighted room. (We were not aware that this is an HDMI capable unit. We will not necessarily be using that function anytime soon, but it is worth noting).
The DVD plays nicely and is easy to control. We recently had a problem with a DVD in an important presentation, which is why we began looking to upgrade. I wish we had this unit at that time!
The internal sound is exceptional! Our primary presentation room is 45' X 100', and we do not even need to turn the unit all the way up for everyone to hear the presentation loud and clear. It automatically plays the sound from DVDs, but if we run sound through a computer we need to hook up an audio cable which we had to purchase separately for $14.00. The sound quality from DVDs is superior to the sound quality from the computer.
We have not used the microphone function, so I cannot comment on that feature.
The other features I like are these; easy remote control, the slide lens cover is built in rather than separate, screen balance functions allow for a nice "in proportion" picture, the fan is pretty quiet, and dual front legs rather than just one. The price although not cheap, was acceptable and fell within our budget.
The only downside observed is that the provided carry case is a little flimsy. It's not bad, but it's not that good either.
I highly recommend this product for small to medium multi-media presentations.
